Your artist bio should make you
feel like a rockstar
Writing your own bio is *the pits*. It’s not easy talking about yourself (without sounding like a self-inflated smooth-talker).
But, you know you need one. Even though your immediate reaction might be ‘who wants to know about me?’, an artist bio is an opportunity to tell your story and share your achievements.
It connects you to your collectors.
It draws a picture of who you are and what you bring to your work.
A great bio should get straight to the point. Showcasing your creative skills, strengths and experiences with a splash of personality. It’ll build your cred, grow your following and raise your profile to sell more art.
A bio can be tweaked for the audience you’re talking to, and used alongside your artist statement and brand story, or as part of your:
- website about page
- media kit
- and more.
Want to take the awkwardness out of your bio?
I’m here to help.
How it works
You complete my Questionnaire, so I can get to know you, and your art, inside out.
We’ll clarify all the details via Zoom, then I’ll get writing.
A bio that can be used on your website, in your media kit, pitches, proposals and any other opps that come up.
- Full page bio up to 400 words
- A 100 word and 50 word bio
- Both first person and third person versions
- Exclusive Trello board to track project and deliverables

Send me the links to your website and blog, links to your social profiles, an example email newsletter and anything else you’re using to share your art.
